ibbi Too Vicious drops thrilling new single, "Astrogirl"

Cincinnati-based ibbi Too Vicious has recently released their new single "Astrogirl". The new offering comes at a great point for the singer-songwriter as he's on the cusp of getting over the 30k stream mark on Spotify, pretty damn good for a DIY artist who's only released five tunes.
"Astrogirl" reminds me of a mix of KennyHoopla's direct vocals mixed with the West Coast-Indie sounding tones found in The Neighborhood's early work.

"Astrogirl" acts as his third release of 2022 and fourth solo release since launching back in 2021 with the punk-driven "Sybarite Tendencies". But onto the new release, the sound of "Astrogirl" reminds me of a mix of KennyHoopla's direct vocals mixed with the West Coast-Indie sounding tones found in The Neighborhood's early work.

Speaking a bit about how the track came to be ibbi mentions - "This single is my first one produced by a live band. It started in the basement of my friends who produced this track. They freestyled the instrumental in about 45 minutes while I was writing, and we ended up making my favorite song I've ever recorded. "

There's a strong presence of some post-punk revival-type guitars that will easily bring over those indie-rock and alternative fans. The single has plenty of attitude all the while ibbi is heard keeping his vocals at the chill end of the spectrum, personally, I'd love to hear an acoustic version of this so we can focus even more on the vocals!
