Following on from their impressive single which came out earlier on this year, "Mexico", Dublin's Chasing Felix has returned with their atmospheric new cut, "Give It Away". The sound is very familiar to that of their previous single (I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it), however this time around they've made it even more atmospheric, and boy have they nailed it down perfectly.
they're onto something and I'm sure will be taking over the Irish live circuit in no time.
The track opens with hazy guitars with some sweet tones adorning the track before soaring vocals come in, it's then the track mood gets all dark and sexy.
There's so much atmosphere here I can easily see this being a cornerstone of their live sets, perhaps with lasers and a fog machine rolling over the stage to add to the vibe to enhance it even more - and I know I've mentioned that before but the whole aura that the band has now created is astonishing.
If you're looking for some dark guitar-based indie-rock then Chasing Felix's new single is your first stop, they're onto something and I'm sure will be taking over the Irish live circuit in no time.
