It's that kind of track, yes a debut single and this time around it's from an emerging singer-songwriter from Berlin, Germany. Zaki Hagins has within the past two weeks revealed his bold debut offering which comes in two versions, an acoustic version and a 'pop mix' giving fans the option to fall in love with the track twice in one sitting.
As a debut release goes this take with an acoustic version and a more upbeat take is wonderful to hear
The acoustic track is the first on the release and is dominated by his soulful vocals and a violin that acts as the main instrument, it's also got a lovely backing track of additional strings to help it gain it's ethereal status.
The 'pop-mix' is understandably more upbeat and is most likely the one that'll end up being played on the radio, vocally the structure is almost identical but instrumentally it's got the addition of some alt-pop synths and electronic noises that you'd half expect Radiohead to come up with.
The fact that he's released this combo as a debut single is brilliant, he can see what performs best and focuses on that style for the next release perhaps. As a debut release goes this take with an acoustic version and a more upbeat take is wonderful to hear, so do be sure to drop him a follow on the socials as he certainly has the talent to do well!
