Those legends at The Thing With Feathers today have returned with their sensational new single, "Everything I'm Missing". With huge success from their previous singles, highlights being playlisting from Apple Music and Spotify editorials they've also seen their music reach a staggering 3 million plays over the streaming services.
An indie-rock anthem with plenty of nostalgia.
The new offering is the Nashville band's first of 2023 and will certainly be setting the mood for the rest of the year, as it's once again a lesson in how to write radio-friendly, anthemic indie-rock tunes that can traverse the world.
Vocally this is the richest we've heard from them, the smooth addition with the backing vocals in the choruses adds to the atmosphere and makes me feel as if I'm in a blockbuster film in the 1990s. The guitars are as charming as ever, the bass as smooth as it's always been with the drummer doing a fab job behind the kit.
