Winchester's Carley Varley has earlier on this month shared her latest single, "I'm not angry anymore", and it acts as her second single of the year already following swiftly on from "Somehow I'm Alive".
The song for me has big nostalgic vibes with her vocals reminding me of a powerful and young Avril Lavigne, instrumentally too the acoustic guitars are stunning. What backs all if this up is a violin that helps to generate some atmospheric tones which ultimately gets you hooked into the song.
The blend of pop sensibilities with alt-rock and even some punk undertones means that this song straddles genres, and while doing so grasps more fans attention.Since Carley started releasing music in 2019 each track has been getting her more and more attention, now it's just a matter of time before the she'll be more widely known on the scene!
"I'm not angry anymore" is the third single her forthcoming "Homesick" EP, due out later on this year. Speaking about the song Carley mentions - "It tells a story about finally having closure and letting go of the frustrations that you've been holding on to within a relationship."
