Hailing from Hull is the quartet of Calboa, and a few weeks ago the band dropped their moody new cut, "Loose Lips". The new tune acts as their first outing since the 2021 EP "Yang", and it sees them turn up the heat with this sizzling and bold new single.

Opening up with a thick bass and a soaring guitar it grips you right away, and when the moody vocals come in I get big whiffs of Red Hot Chili Peppers - especially with the direction of the vocal tones.
Having already supported the likes of indie legends The Libertines the band are now looking to make a big mark in the scene. It's all them, pure raw talent and atmospheric tones flowing throughout, there is no denying that Calboa is an exciting band - and with a solid back catalogue already they're on the cusp of something special - do be sure not to skip the outro, it's an indie-rock fan's wet dream!
