One of our favourite Dutch bands, RHEIN, has returned with their bold new offering, "Allemaal alleen", which follows on from their debut single released earlier on in the year.
Captivating as per usual!
The intro to the new cut is very atmospheric, giving the listener a feeling that they're in the depths of the ocean surrounded by beauty. The strings on this almost sound like Whale-song and it does a lot for us in terms of relaxation too.
Vocally the Nijmegen-based trio is commanding and captivating as per usual, with these somewhat dark tones almost caressing your ears throughout the song. Just before the mid-way point, we are introduced to a bright and sparkly guitar that picks up the pace of the tune somewhat, and it's giving me nostalgic tones of early Everything Everything.
