Since releasing his debut in 2021 Martyn Scott has done pretty well for himself, out of the obscurity of the Rotherham music scene he has now got over 50k plays "Turn". It hits you like a charging train with its warm and powerful guitar tone opening proceedings, and it's not too much longer to wait until his vocals come rolling by.
A great example of nostalgic tones colliding with modern swirling sounds.
Vocally what I get is tones of Liam Gallagher mixed with Morrissey and James Dean Bradfield, which basically means if you love British rock bands then you'll be falling in love with Martyn Scott in no time.
The pacing of the track is brilliant, with enough tempo to urge your body parts to do some tapping, and I can easily imagine this being an absolute belter in the live setting - especially when the guitar solo hits you at the midway point.
