Speaking about the track vocalist Paul mentions - "The rise and rise of social media has led to more disconnect between people in real life than there ever has been. ‘Second Hand’ is about that… a couple sitting together on a sofa, one is sitting there scrolling through social media for hours on end while the other is sitting there just being ignored."
Once those vocals come in they're crisp and perfectly balanced that you'll get those lyrics stuck in your mind. The breakdown around the midway point is a master-stroke if you ask me, it highlights that the band can go down the route of a darker sound and make it work.
