Gone are the days of bands releasing two big tunes together in one release, and to be frank the way artists 'recycle' previous singles to use as B-sides is rather lazy all things considered. Aegra unveiled their strong AA-side single, "From The Inside/Six Hands" at the tail end of 2023 and what we have here is a wonderful duo of tracks that complement one another perfectly, giving us a great snapshot into Aegra's sound.
The single acts as a perfect insight to Aegra's sound!
The first of the two tracks is "From The Inside" and it's clearly the most relaxing of the two (you'll find out later why) as it's laced with a dreamy synth underlining it all with a delicate acoustic guitar and vocals being the two prominent features. The addition of piano here only enhances the experience, and for me, I felt at ease when listening to this, simply majestic.
The flip-side of the single is "Six Hands", and as mentioned earlier this is the more high-tempo track of the two, and it features a jangly guitar with more upbeat drum patterns. Vocally it's still just as gorgeous as before, and to be honest, the voice works well on this, think of this track as if The Smiths went even dreamier with extra synth tones.
