Having had a stunning debut release the rising band from the UK, Learn to Surf, is back with yet another slice of dreamy guitar tones, this time in the form of the warm cut called "Passing By".
"Passing By" is a track that showcases their range, perfect some might say for labels to see how big this band could possibly be.
Almost from the get-go, you can hear a warm guitar tone that wouldn't seem out of place on a slow Red Hot Chilli Peppers song, and as it builds the atmosphere of "Passing By" increases before it ends up being as something as mesmerizing as a track by Cigarettes After Sex.
Vocally it's angelic and showcases the range this band has, with comparisons against the likes of Palace and Foals. The mood on the track is more on the darker side compared to their debut - "Coming Good" - but what this does is give their fans a new flavour of something they already know and love. "Passing By" is a track that showcases their range, perfect some might say for labels to see how big this band could possibly be.
