Just last month saw the release of Oxford-based Steep Hill's new single, "Let's Go". The track was their first release since a trio of tracks back in 2022 and showcases exactly what the band has been cooking up since they went under the radar a bit.
A mighty return to form for a rising band.
So the comeback track, it does not hang about as you're welcomed into the track with a gritty guitar and energetic drums that can easily ruin a set of speakers if you turn it up enough. The sound of the single reminds me a lot of post-punk bands from the past 5 years but with some Britpop swagger and some alt-rock flavourings to give it depth.
For me, a highlight of the single was the dirty guitar tone that fills up your ears in and around the courses, and the best thing is that they've since released more music, so if you're looking to get more of a fix from Steep Hill then head over to their Spotify!
