Vocally it's subtle nasal with tones that the likes of Lana Del Rey have pioneered, but it's the instruments that single-handedly won me over. Even though the song is just over two minutes long it's got a smattering of scattering drum fills, a smooth bassline that a jazz band would love to have and a guitar tone that the likes of The XX are known for.
"careless" sounds like it's the whole Alternative-Pop scene all wrapped up in one dreamy song, it's an absolute winner from the first play, so do be sure to give Thea Alien plenty of attention!
