Hailing from the South East of England is the exciting trio of Faded Shades and today is the day that they return with their frantic new tune, "What I'm On About". The track follows on from their 2023 single, "My Place (Or Your Place)", and is a welcome return if I may be so bold.
... one of the best bands in their region if you ask me.
The opening of the track screams to me as a big bit of 90's nostalgic rock some washing over your ears. The sound they've gone for could be described as a hazy blend of early Oasis, warm psychedelic sounds adorning the guitars and some baggy percussion sounds heard in the likes of Primal Scream.
Speaking about the song the band said - " ... "What I'm on About" is a tale of a night out in Amsterdam, exploring the frayed edges of a trip and reality whilst you navigate foreign streets in a hazy state of discombobulation."
The fact that they are always dropping solid new tunes is a testament to their character and how they are as a band, by far one of the best bands in their region if you ask me.
