The Italian outfit of Platonick Dive just a few days ago shared their new shoegaze tune, "Carpet Ceiling". The single acts as their first single release since 2018's "Estuary" came out, and I have to admit it sounds like the band has come back with a bang.
A great example of an instrumental track that can wow you on the first listen.
Much like their previous tracks "Carpet Ceiling" is enriched with dreamy guitar tones that are laced with reverb and angelic noises that feel like they're almost touching the inner workings of your head.
The single also acts as the first slice of new music lifted from their new album, "Take a Deep Breath, due out in September. The fact that this is possibly one of their most sonic tracks yet is a huge testament to the band, and the fact it's the first in six years too makes it rather breathtaking.
