Coming out of California is the brilliant 12ayo and he has just last month dropped his new silky smooth single, "STUCK." One thing that sticks with you right from the off is the sheer smoothness of his vocals, they're RnB flavoured but with some Soul added in too, think of The Lighthouse Family if they were more pop.
Soul meets Latino-pop
There's not much info in the press release that we got apart from that he's a Latino artist born and raised in East Los Angeles and is connected deeply with music and his Latin culture through his parents who are from Mexico and El Salvador, and to be honest, you can really hear that twist on the song with some Spanish sounding guitars and of course his vocals.
The music itself reminds me a lot of the 80s synth-pop scene with those strong soaring sounds mixed in with a more contemporary Soul-Pop feel.
