Karyn Kuhl returns with her nostalgic new single, "No Traces"

Back with her first release since 2021 is Karyn Kuhl who hails from Hoboken, NJ, and this new track titled "No Traces" is a great example of a Britpop track infused with an American approach to post-punk.
A vibrant slice of 90s britpop mixed with post-punk, it's a real treat for those nostalgia-loving folks.

The sound for me evokes the early 90s indie and alt scene in the UK with some smooth vocal hooks that you'd happen to find in Garbage tracks in the same era. Vocally Karyn is both smooth and direct, with a slight punk-pop feel touching your ears it really helped me especially to get into the track with ease.

The track is filled to the brim with fantastic licks of bass, and the guitars are as jangly and crisp as anything else from the early 90s. We are also treated to some soaring synths that feel almost as if it's been lifted from a New Order track. The track is also backed up with a b-side, titled "The Tower" it hugely compliments this track and gives you an insight into what Karyn Kuh; sounds like outside of her children-orientated tracks.
