Barely Strangers reveal their new track, "Mess Around"

Manchester-based duo, Barely Strangers, just this Friday revealed their new track, "Mess Around", and if you're a fan of the scene that they're from then you're in for one heck of a treat. The new single is just the duo's third since they started dropping tunes earlier this year, and right from the very first second, you're hit with smooth guitars and a feeling that has a warm sun-kissed touch to it.

Barely Strangers could be the next big act to burst out of Manchester and take over the world!

Vocally it's in the same realm as the likes of The Drums and Swim Deep, very breezy and surf-orientated but with the Mancunian accent still being heard through it all. The band cite the likes of The Stone Roses, DMA's and The Smiths as influences, and I have to say I can hear every bit of those three bands in the song, so if you're into your arena-filling acoustic-lead indie-rock then Barely Strangers are the new band for you.

The duo are very independent with the track being recorded, mixed, and mastered in their basement studio, with the sound remaining true to Manchester's musical roots. Barely Strangers could be the next big act to burst out of Manchester and take over the world, just keep an eye on them!
