Spoonr reveals their new single, "Y2K Warning"

Back with their second single of the year is Spoonr with their new single, "Y2K Warning". The new cut from the Scottish alt-rockers is a welcome one as it's been nearly four months since their last tune, but this one has that urgency that suggests there's plenty more coming from them.

A great song from an emerging Glaswegian rock band.

"Y2K Warning" has a delightfully nostalgic feel to it with some 90s tones washing around it, perhaps with some influence from the likes of The Smashing Pumpkins and ASH, with the track almost sounding like something the latter would write based on the sonic nature of the guitars.

Vocally it's very well balanced, driven but not too overpowering and to ensure maximum enjoyment - I can see a lot of new fans getting into the band down to this, a perfect gateway track to get into Spooner if you ask me.
