Hailing from York is singer-songwriter Harrison Rimmer, and earlier on today saw him reveal his new single, "Tough Love". The new tune is his first release since he dropped his live EP back in 2022, and it sounds to me like he wants to come back with a bang!
Delightfully addictive.
Opening up the song is a moody guitar, but that does not last as shortly after his vocals come in the track starts to brighten up like a summer's day. Once the chorus hits the track feels so different, it's very much like a Frank Turner track with a lot more pace and smoother vocal hooks.
The single is also going to be on Harrison's brand new album "Cheaper Than Therapy", with the single having a launch show in Blackpool at Compass Café Bar on the 27th of July.
Speaking about the song he says - "This song is for anyone who needs an extra push to get the help they need. For me this was the rallying cry I needed to be more open and honest to myself and to the people around me".The delightfully addictive tones heard in the song will go a long way if you're looking for some acoustically-charged rock anthems.
