Runner Up reveals his nostalgic new track, "Let's Go To London"

Coming out of the music scene down in Bristol is Runner Up, and just last week the singer-songwriter shared his new single, "Let's Go To London". The new single is the second to be lifted from his forthcoming album, and the track itself is a delightful stroll down into some 90s nostalgia.

... a delightful stroll down into some 90s nostalgia.

The track is enriched with his soft and subtle vocals, with the song also having a rather distinctive blend of acoustic and electric guitar that screams early 90s soft-rock. The pacing of the track is set just so that when the chorus hits it becomes euphoric with sounds similar to that of Pulp and The Verve.

Speaking about the track Runner Up mentions - "This song is about being in a relationship and dealing with the realisation that it is coming to an end. Maybe you're not ready for it to end yet, you have plans and things you haven't done yet. "

The song and album was mixed by Andy Monaghan of Frightened Rabbit with contributions from fellow musicians from the Bristol music scene. The smooth slice of Indie-Rock is perfect to stick on when you want to unwind, so head on down and be sure to give this a play - and of course, follow him on social channels so you don't miss the forthcoming album!
