Edinburgh-based Gurry Wurry has today shared the smooth new tune, "Hairline", which also is the fourth from the singer-songwriter this year.
Vocally strong Gurry Wurry has made a name for himself with his vocal tones being smooth unique and vibrant. The tones I hear coming out from him remind me of Wild Beasts mixed with David Bowie, so it's no wonder that the likes of BBC 6 Music have been championing him already.
an absolute earworm
Speaking of the track Gurry Wurry says - " ... "Hairline" is a playful call to arms for people reluctantly getting older. It’s a hypnotic mantra to get your head bobbing and stop you worrying about the thinning hair on top of it."
For me the whole vibe of this track is laden with arty and bouncy guitar bursts, psychedelic moments and a crisp amount of percussion that easily won me over on the first listen. It's unique but amazingly will be an absolute earworm having you humming back the track moments after it finishes.
