Jack Ellis and The Contraband unveils their addictive new tune, "Sweets"

Released today is Jack Ellis and The Contraband's frantic new tune, "Sweets". The addictive new single is much like the sugary substance it's named after, as you'll find out within the first five seconds with the fast-paced drum driving up the tempo.

Addictive!

Not long after that frantic intro, we're welcomed with open arms by a charming guitar riffing away reminding us a lot of the hayday of Franz Ferdinand and The Kooks.  There's this slight mid-late 2000s nostalgic feeling, even with those vocals giving us a whiff of The Strokes in places too.

To say that you'll like this if you're a fan of Indie-Rock may be just a slight understatement, the nature of this song will easily be able to get you to boogie along - and even a mosh in the live environment. The breakdown around the midpoint only serves you to rest for a brief period before the track takes you hostage.

We loved this on the first listen, and most of the review was from notes I took on the first listen too - so this is possibly one of the honest reviews of this track ever!
