London-based singer-songwriter Ace Redman yesterday released his debut single, "Schrödinger", and what an introduction and impression he has already made on us.
Part piano, part art-rock with tones of David Bowie - a true blend of alternative sounds to enjoy.
The multiple layers of piano on the intro reminded me of Elton John in places, and that comparison rings true once the track becomes fully formed. Vocally I'm getting tones of Bowie throughout the song, and with the slight Art-Rock underpinning there's also a slight flavour of Everything Everything too.
Speaking of his track Ace mentions - " ... "Schrödinger" is generally about life in the modern day, and I tried to capture the absurdity, uncertainty and stress of it all and capture it in a bottle, along with a helping of youthful defiance."
With this weight lifted off of him I can now see Redman going on to release more modern-day classic-sounding tracks, and if he keeps up the grandness in his music I can see him doing well for himself. So head on down and check it out, and while you're here be sure to follow his social channels too!
