Maxie Melpomene reveals her debut single, "Silent Waters Run Deep"

Maxie Melpomene a couple of months ago shared her stunning new single, "Silent Waters Run Deep", and what makes this even more impressive is that it's her debut release. To the untrained ear (and to the majority of people) you'd be forgiven thinking that Maxie has already sold out multiple tours, let alone having just released her first solo single.

A stunning debut.

Maxie also collaborates with musicians from all over Europe, including Broken Forest and Harddiskaunt, so it's not like she's appeared with this amazing voice out of nowhere, but it's still refreshing to hear a charismatic debut single!

"Silent Waters Run Deep" is very vocally focused, and for good reasons too. Maxie's tones sound flawless to me, with ethereal tones that can rival the likes of Bjork to more contemporary sounds heard by Florence Welch. The sound she's got is more on the darker side of things, but with her epic performance, you'll easily be able to delve into this track with sheer ease.

Speaking of the single Maxie says - "We are the product of our parents and find it difficult to detach ourselves from them. We are shaped by their trauma, their memories and experiences. The responsibility and great difficulty lies in finding our own way. It is about this independence and the resulting doubts. If I only know this path that has been lived, how can I find my own? How do I manage to swim against the current?"
