Manchester-based Pochenski burst onto the scene back in 2020 with the stunning "How Long", followed by "No Answers" in 2021. Since 2021 they've been hard at work on a new batch of songs, and just last Friday saw them return with the new single, "On A Death Ride".
It's a track you'll want to have on repeat!
The new single is a more synth-leaning tune compared to their first couple of outings, and even though we've not heard their tunes for a couple of years it's almost like we're back with old friends.
Vocally it's even better than we remember, with tones that seemingly soar throughout. The brand of rock they've gone for can easily straddle sub-genres of punk, pop and even shoegaze with those dreamy backing guitars. The chorus alone is one that can easily win over any new listeners, and if you're like me this will be the type of moment you'll want to have on repeat.
