Richie Harrison shares the compelling new single, "The Rope"

Coming out of the North East of England is Richie Harrison who last week saw the singer-songwriter drop his compelling new tune, "The Rope". Kicking off with a crisp and bold drumkit the bassline shortly arrives after and the warmth surrounds it.

A big slice of mid 2000's indie-rock.

I loved how the frantic guitar came into the track before the vocals did, and it gave me this big fuzzy memory of The Strokes and Franz Ferdinand.

Vocally it's more like The Cure and Molchat Doma, but for me that's something that I absolutely love, so when the really got into the flow of things towards the mid-way point it's clear to say I was emotionally deep within the track. The new tune is his fifth of 2024, and if he keeps on releasing music to this level he could be a force to be reckoned with on his local scene!
