David Cloyd releases his new single, "Ocean of Hours"

Buffalo-based singer-songwriter David Cloyd has not released any music since 2011, but today that changes with the release of his captivating new single, "Ocean of Hours". It's been even longer since he released a full album, and this track also acts as the first from his new album "Red Sky Warning" - due out early 2025.

Very experimental and emotional, definitely worth a listen if you want a very immersive track.

The sounds on "Oceans of Hours" remind me a lot of the last few records that David Bowie released. They are very vocally heavy with a truly sonic sound that enhances the vocals even more. This track is stripped back in places with a soaring guitar underpinning a ticking tone before a clean drumkit enters the fold and the track builds volume.

The new single is very cinematic and is very clean with the production too, which for how big and massive it sounds is remarkable. There's no denying that David Cloyd sounds like he's making up for lost time, if the album is half as good as this then this could be his biggest release ever!
