German outfit Deltawelle have returned with their brand new single, "My Own God", and as soon as we kick things off there is this nostalgic wave washing over the track.
Speaking about the song they say - "This song is about believing in yourself. How can you create a world that makes you happy and light? It's also about looking past your mistakes a little and using them to pave the way for something new."
Love the 80s or synths, you'll really like this one!
The smooth vocal tones remind me a lot of the vocal approach of Robert Smith, but with some extra spice. The vocals really do evolve as the track goes on by, with melodies and backing vocals adding plenty more atmosphere to proceedings.
The instruments on this are very 80s new-wave, and when the track gets into the latter third there's a strong synth that comes out giving you some serious 'Night Rider' soundtrack vibes. The track is short sitting in at just over two and a half minutes long, but I'm sure it'll leave a lasting impression on anyone who's a fan of the 80s or synths.
