Back with his fifth release of the year is Virginia-based artist Caleb L'Etoile, "Ley Lines" is the new offering and it's the kind of song that will take you on a vivid ride through their sounds.
If you're looking for an upbeat (and yet quirky) indie tune then be sure to give this a blast!
The big intro leads you right into a high-octane wall of electronic sounds that I can see working tremendously well in blockbuster films. The pacing is frantic and yet will keep you rooted to the speakers. Vocally the song is strong with tones familiar to that of British Indie bands, so you can perhaps see why we loved it from the first play.
Speaking about the song Caleb says - "It’s about the hope of finding new love, trying to re-enter the world after divorce and making sense of it, online dating, and the pressure to find someone and settle down." The bright sounds heard in the song remind us of the more upbeat indie-rock type of songs, and I can easily see this being a key track in Caleb's live sets.
