The Max Headroom drop the nostalgic new cut, "Cult Radio"

Hailing from Adelaide in Australia is The Max Headroom with their nostalgic-sounding new tune, "Cult Radio". Right away from the intro, I get this 90s rock vibe to it with a slightly grunge undertone. Vocally what we have is something that truly stands out from the crowd as it's equally moody, raw and captivating.

... moody, raw and captivating.

Speaking about the song the band says - "It's about 'meeting someone who loves you, and you feel they don't know all about you. But if they did, would they still love you?" With over 200k plays on Spotify the band are not exactly new to the scene, but what they definitely offer is a rich sound that straddles both indie-rock and psych-rock subgenres.

Having performed all over Australia it sounds now like the quintet is looking to break past their national scene, and to be honest I can see them doing incredibly well if they ever did come to the UK, as a few Aussie acts have come over here and made a name for themselves, Pendulum and The Temper Trap for example.

The track is well produced and gave me chills on the first listen, which is not an easy thing to do - so if you fancy exploring an incredible new Australian band be sure to check out The Max Headroom
