Alex Starling shares his new solo cut, "Maybe We Lost It"

Based out of London is Alex Starling, a singer-songwriter who you may have heard of before. He rose to fame as a member of Ou Est Le Swimming Pool before eventually going solo and forming The Ghosts - who went on to release two albums, one in 2010 and 2012.

A song to capture your heart, a pure chillout track for modern times.

Alex's solo career under his own name started in 2019, but now three singles deep in it sounds like he may be onto something great. The new cut opens up with an expansive drum and soaring synths, it's a chilled way to kick things off, but to be honest I do admire how grand it sounds.

Vocally it's very tender and raw, a bit like the sounds of WET and Cigarettes After Sex, but with a slight pop-undertone about it, think 2014 Coldplay tunes. Having been a writer for other acts and labels it's so refreshing to see him go into his solo work again, and now "Maybe We Lost It" is out in the world I'm sure his solo work will only grab more people's ears and capture their hearts.
