J.J. Chamberlain reveals the festive EP, "Let's Fall Out For Christmas"

J.J. Chamberlain has been previously featured on It's All Indie, and for good reasons too. Just a few days ago saw him reveal the festive EP, "Let's Fall Out For Christmas". The release is just three tracks long but will certainly provide you with a trio of songs that will be able to stick around with you for many Christmases to come.

The EP has literally just dropped this morning, but that just means you'll be able to enjoy it more before the masses join in.

The opening track is the title track, it's a rather upbeat affair with his light and airy vocals once again adorning the track. The acoustic guitar mixed in with the piano tones really helps to keep the sound grounded, and those subtle ball chimes are a real pleasure too - it's not a festive tune without something like that going on.

Next up is "Tired of Christmas (2024)", a more mellow tune with an Americana-feeling tone cutting in, more laid back and is clearly a winner for me for when we're opening the presents, as I too shall be feeling a bit tired from the night before (as I'm British and we love a pub drink the night before).

Closing off the short-but-sweet EP is "Curmudgeon", the shortest track on the release, but that does not mean it's not impactful. It's got a mighty guitar wafting its way in front of you, feeling almost like a song by Pixies. It's a nice change of pace and is once again a great example of what J.J. Chamberlain is all about.

Out of 10: Festive (8) /10

I can easily see myself revisiting these songs every year, especially the title track!
