Partners In Crime have recently unveiled their cover of "I'll Never Find Another You" by Tom Springfield, who sadly passed away back in 2022. Of course, one thing that's rather clear from the get-go is that this sound is a real departure from the original.
... a nostalgic yet refreshing retro Indie-Rock vibe while honouring the original.
What the Toronto-based band has given it here is a distinctive 80s Indie-Rock sound that the likes of The Smiths used to use, but keeping some of those warm analogue tones, creating a nostalgic yet refreshing vibe. Vocally it's hazy and really shines a light on how they wanted to keep some elements of The Seekers' sound (who Springfield wrote this song for) alive, blending harmonies that evoke timeless sentiment.
