Flame reveals the cinematic new single, "Gravity"

The Edinburgh-based singer-songwriter Flame has been steadily chipping away at the music scene since her debut single came out in 2021, and it sounds like the song that might really grip music labels ears is here.

... a moody, cinematic slow-burner.

"Gravity" is a sensationally cinematic track with her vocals shining through; it's almost blinding us! The track itself is a simplistic affair with tones comparable to the folk sounds of Lucy Rose to the more modern contemporary Billie Eilish. I know a lot of people compare singers such as Flame to her, but in this case, I found myself eased into this song way more than I thought.

The instrumentation on this reminded me a lot of those cool alt-indie bands you expect to find on a Wednesday night in the middle of Shoreditch, London. It's filled with atmospheric sounds, revberb and moody bass tones that is sure to captivate anyone that lends an ear to the song.

I guess the too-long, didn't read version of the review is 'wow, just wow'. Be sure to give this a listen before Flame is everywhere on the national scene, it'll sizzle into your soul way before the end of the first play!
