Ken Woods and The Old Blue Gang unveils the new song, "Ride the Rails"

Just over a couple of weeks ago saw Ken Woods and The Old Blue Gang unveil their charging new song, "Ride the Rails". Of course, with a mention of something to do with a train in the title, it was expected to hear a train peeping and chugging by in the intro, but this leads on into quite the frantic verse that sees the drums kick things up a bit.

... a genre-hopping, Americana-charged thrill ride.

The song is incredibly upbeat, with plenty of Americana and Country tones on offer, and seemingly while they were writing the song, they thought to add in some Baroque-Pop tones too. It's got a very familiar The Last Shadow Puppets sort of feel combined with some Neo-Soul tones.

On the surface, it may seem like an easy track to put into a genre, but this vibrant 'American-tinted' track really got us hooked, and the sound we heard in the five-minute duration had us checking out their live schedule for the rest of the year (who knows, maybe they're in Europe this summer!) For a debut track, this is simply sizzlingly good!
