Delta of Venus has returned with their brand new single, "Intertwined", and the whole release is one you need to get your ears around. The song follows on from their debut single last year, and once more, the band isn't hanging about by releasing a special acoustic version of the song alongside it.
... a lush blend of shoegaze and new-wave textures topped with silky vocals—plus a stunning acoustic version that proves their sound shines in any form.
Almost instantly, we're taken back in time to when we first heard the Connecticut-based band's sounds. It's the smooth combination of creamy-like vocals drizzled on top of shoegaze and new-wave guitar tones. There's just something about that mixture of sounds that gets us going.
The way that "Intertwined" sounds is very complex; I found new layers even on the third play, but by that point, I was already hooked. As soon as you finish this, be sure to check out the acoustic b-side as this to new levels (if they made an acoustic album, I still feel like it'll do well, especially as the main vocals seem to suit the nature of this version).
