Art Pop drop their DIY tune, "teenage scum"

Coming out of Austin, TX is Art Pop with their new single, "teenage scum". The new single is the second to be released by the band following on from "lakehoue" back in May, and this tune is a big reason why their upcoming album is going to be one not to miss.
... a raw, spoken-word-laced anthem that blends Cranberries-style haze with electro grit, all recorded in their parents' home for maximum DIY charm.

Right from the start Art Pop are not messing about, as there's a hunky guitar and plenty of hazy sounds on offer. It's rather The Cranberries meets Electro-Rock with some psychedelic synths to add some depth.

Vocally, it's very Art Brut for me, spoken word but effective, as you can clearly hear the lyrics, which also gives you plenty of chances to get stuck into it for a sing-along. The brotherly duo of Max and Miles recorded this in their parents' home, which just helps to keep this track raw and rooted, a real underground art-rock gem.
