Cody Piper unveils his smooth new single, "Ode to a Lost Love"

On Friday, Cody Piper released his second single of the year, "Ode to a Lost Love", and since then it's gone onto win us over - and no doubt his loyal fanbase too.

... baroque-pop gem blending Beatles-esque soul with Arctic Monkeys' cool — dreamy, smooth, and effortlessly addictive.

The new single from the Pittsburgh-based artist kicks off with this dreamy whisper before some baroque-pop piano tones come in. If you like the last two Arctic Monkeys albums, the more laid-back ones, then you might find yourself loving this. Vocally, it's very smooth, similar to that of The Beatles but with more soul. The track is a rather chilled one, but sometimes you need that in your life.

Once the main percussive section comes in, it becomes more of a skitty sound with a deliciously addictive bassline. From the sounds of The Beatles, to the expansive Radiohead percussive sounds to piano-driven sounds, it's safe to say that Cody Piper really has nailed down his sound.
