Franky Fugazi has recently revealed his jangly debut single, "Feloncholy", and this is bringing back to me all sorts of nostalgia. The nostalgia I'm getting is that of those awesome singer-songwriters who play obscure pubs and bars in Camden, it's got that feel to it.
... a dark, jangly tune full of sliding guitars, Camden-pub charm, and vocals that feel seasoned and nostalgic in all the right ways.
Vocally Franky is rather solid, and even though this is the debut I feel like he's been refining it for a while, with the dark sounding song acting as the perfect base for his tones, not bad considering this is his debut offering at 45 years of age.
If you like your sliding guitar, then you're in for a surprise as "Feloncholy" has it in abundance. Considering that Franky isn't based out of the UK, he has this great aura around him, with a slight Mancunian accent to his voice. Lifted from his forthcoming debut album, this track showcases exactly why it's never too late to release music.
