Head Sound shares their new shoegaze cut, "Hyperion"

Based out of Upstate New York it's Head Sound, and the outfit has recently dropped the new offering, "Hyperion". The dreamy new tune is the first since they released a trio of songs back in 2024, and it sounds like they're elevating their sound even more.
... a sprawling, shoegaze-laced epic that erupts into cinematic bliss, blending frantic beats with vocals for a track that’s nothing short of label-ready brilliance.

The five-minute epic is very shoegaze-driven from the get-go, with a noisy guitar tone wallowing away before a rush of cinematic sounds follows. As quickly as 60 seconds tick into 61, the track becomes massive; it has a frantic beat that can easily get the more upbeat indie fan into it while still keeping their signature sound.

Vocally, it's stunning, with hints of Slowdive, JAWS and even more contemporary bands that we loved back in the mid-2000s. If I were to give this to a big record label and ask them what they think of it (with no previous knowledge of the band) I'd say they'd be singing them in an instant. It's that good, it's infectious, and I want more!
