HalfCutLemon unveils the new slowburner tune, "The Sun Is Dying"

Copenhagen's HalfCutLemonhave returned with a brand new single, "The Sun Is Dying", and this slowburner of a song si quite the tune.

... a brooding alt-rock slowburner laced with Bowie-esque vocals, Radiohead vibes, and a cheeky Simon & Garfunkel nod that'll hook music lovers from the first note.

From the intro where they quote Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence" the track instantly got me hooked, and I know it was an easy one, but I'm a sucker for 'easter eggs' in tracks when they quote other songs (or even poetry).

The jangly tune is very dark in nature, with sounds that remind me of Radiohead, Wild Beasts and even fellow Danish band VETO. The vocal backing melodies really help to bind together all of the elements, if you ask me, but vocally it reminds me once more of Bowie. So if you like your darker-leaning alt-rock then HalfCutLemon' new single, "The Sun Is Dying", is for you!
