Jess Grant releases the standout song, "Knight Mare on Yelm Street"

Earlier this year, Jess Grant released his new album, "Highway 99," and a standout track on the release was track 9, otherwise known as "Knight Mare on Yelm Street".

... a moody, grunge-tinged banger that channels early Interpol and hooks you from start to finish.

This cut is for me one of the best on the release, as it showcases everything that Grant is all about. Moody basslines and guitars, with it reminding me of early Interpol and Gang of Youths. Vocally, Jess is very captivating, with a slight nasal tone to it you'll have your ears getting perky to it in no time.

The Edmonds, WA artist has got a big nostalgic feel around this song, with a slight grunge tone that brings back memories of that early 90s era. It's a brooding and moody track, no doubt it'll keep you captive until the very end like it did with us. As mentioned earlier, this is lifted off his latest album, so if you like this then check out the wider release—and perhaps his new EP too!
