London-based alt-rock outfit River Fury unveiled their powerful new tune, "Opportunities", less than a week ago, and it may be the best cut they've dropped this year.
a fiery alt-rock anthem that fuses retro-rock grit and 90s swagger.
With this being their fifth effort of the year, it sounds like there is no stopping the furious sounds from the quartet. The guitar on the intro reminded me a lot of Eagle-Eye Cherry, but one that passes the track is way more than just a catchy intro.
It's a short track packed with great moments, a fiesty jangly guitar that commands my attention really drew me in, and when the chrous comes in the raw vocals fill the void. For me the band blends slacker-rock tones with a late 90s skater-rock feel, all the while with a modern twist. River Fury clearly isn’t afraid to push boundaries, and this one proves it.
