Michelle Cameron has today unveiled her debut single, "Dealbreaker", and what a striking showcase this song is to announce herself onto the scene with.
... a cinematic alt-pop track blending soaring vocals, piano-driven emotion, and intimate rock textures.
Right off the intro alone, you can tell that this is going to be a stunner, almost Coldplay-esque even. As soon as Michelle's vocals come in, the piano-driven track becomes a soaring alt-pop affair with cinematic backing. The howling sounds add depth and a bit of darkness, too, but when the song gets into the second half, the percussive section becomes more prominent and adds some intimate alt-rock textures.
Hailing from Dundee, Scotland, Cameron is certainly going to be up there with some of the best singer-songwriters out of Scotland. Just keep an eye on her future releases!
