"Joyride" welcomes you in with a warm embrace; a clean acoustic guitar kicks things off before her tender voice rolls in to complete it. It's one of those heartfelt Americana-pop anthems that reminds us a lot of Kacey Musgraves and Maggie Rogers in places, with vocal tones that remind me a lot of the former.
The shimmering electric guitars in the background made this track far better than I was expecting, even with that solid intro. So just do yourself a favour and sink into this track; it's a perfect blend of country-pop and modern indie-folk sensibility that is surely going to get her a lot of attention.
