The single is a haunting post-punk tune that has plenty going for it, and even from the get-go, I loved the sound of the bass and chunky guitar tone, reminding me of The Smiths somewhat, and even more so The Cure.
"Sweet Foxhound" to me has it all, a rushing chorus, a slow-burning first half and some vocals that you'll want to hear plenty more times over.
Drawing their inspiration from shoegaze, dream pop, and gothic acts, The House Flies are the type of band that are ever evolving their sound, delivering music that is as edgy as it is immersive. So get your ears wrapped around this hypnotic post-punk anthem!
