Marseille-based Benjamin Quartz has returned with "Pyromane", which is lifted from his most recent album, "Sombre Samba".
... blending French folk-rock, poetic vocals, and vintage, organic instrumentation.
The mesmerising new track is a fusion of folk-rock warmth and poetic storytelling, with the track being sung in French. Even though it's in a language I'm not too familiar with I can still hear the emotive sounds flowing through his voice, and the way words seemingly roll off his tongue.
I admire the intricate percussion and guitar sounds on this, almost giving the track that vintage feel while keeping itself rooted with organic sounds such as handclaps and violin scores. It's quite the enchanting track, and if you loved this then be sure to check out the wider release as there's another half an hour's worth of music just as good as this!
