Vancouver-based artist Dust Cwaine returns with the emotional new tune, "Twin Lakes", and this new cut might be the best of the bunch. The emotional and simmering new single is released from their forthcoming album, which was co-produced with Josh Eastman.
... a heartfelt, lo-fi indie pop-rock anthem with soaring vocals and irresistible grooves.
Dust mentions - "I wrote this song about growing up in an isolated community, and the pain of being further isolated from the people within it. I realized that in death, my father had bypassed any chance to be held accountable for the things he put me through. This song imagines what it might have been like to finally say what needed to be said."
The new track is a great blend of lo-fi indie pop with heartfelt rock energy, sounding like something that EA would choose for one of their sports soundtracks - I personally got an old-school 'FIFA' vibe from this.
Twin Lakes is both intimate and anthemic with soaring vocal moments backed up with clean guitar tones, fresh basslines and a percussive section that can have you dancing along in your own front room! This track is once again proof that Dust Cwaine can turn vulnerability into something you can vibe hard to.
