Southend-on-Sea quartet The Trusted are rather known to us here, and the foursome have this week returned with their euphoric new single "Levitate".
... a euphoric alt-pop anthem blending festival-ready hooks with the energy of Two Door Cinema Club and the polish of The 1975.
The soaring alt-pop sounds like an anthem built for festival sing-alongs, and with the intro guiding you into the track, it will burst into life right before the first chorus. It is the blending of lush guitars, tight percussion, and heartfelt lyricism with sounds that remind me a lot of Two Door Cinema Club's energy mixed with the nostalgic sheen of The 1975 and Bloc Party's tightness.
"Levitate" once again showcases The Trusted at their absolute best; it's punchy, honest, and brimming with optimism and is only going to do them good. This sounds like the track that may take them beyond borders, so keep an eye on these lot - the world could be next!
